A woman discovers her biological father through a DNA match. She and the father are thrilled, but the half-sister is not. The two women face off only to discover that an expanded family might not be so bad after all.
STACY
The waitress knew we were father and daughter right away. It was uncanny. We have the same laugh.
We both ordered the guacamole extra spicy, and…oh…when we were walking— we both like walking after a meal — we swung our arms exactly the same.
EMILY
Oh no! You do the gorilla walk too? He takes up the entire sidewalk…it’s embarrassing.
EMILY
Planning a wedding is a big deal! And that is what I wanted to talk to you about before Dad gets here. I don’t want you at my wedding.
STACY
Excuse me?
EMILY
I don’t want to have to explain who you are, where you came from! Dad shouldn’t have asked you to come, because if I had wanted you there, I would have asked you myself.
