When a woman accidentally hits and kills a biker, she comes to the graveside seeking closure — but is thrown for a loop when the biker shows up for her side of the conversation. While the women can’t undo what has happened, they can bond and make promises.
DESI
No, I don’t!
I’m in a group, too.
LEE ANN
What kind of group?
DESI
For the “newly departed.” Ideally, we’re supposed to forgive idiots like you and stop worrying about things back on earth we can’t do anything about.
DESI
Anyway, apparently, my humor isn’t good enough for the afterlife yet. I need to “pivot to eternal themes.”
LEE ANN
That doesn’t sound funny.
DESI
I know, it’s a tough crowd. Here I’m working on one: How does God know she’s god?
LEE ANN
I don’t know — how?
DESI
(with a specific gesture.)
When people see her coming, they move away rolling their eyes and say, “Oh God.”
